Hi, I’m Angela Bishop,
I provide webinar support, email and diary management and social media support to UK business owners, from my own fully equipped office, just outside Cardiff, Wales, enabling them to direct their time to where it’s most needed.

Let me tell you a little about myself……
I started out my career in corporate environments, in varied roles ranging from Planning Analyst, Production Planner through to Retail Merchandiser and on to Planning & Logistics Manager for a FTSE listed company.
With a young family though, I decided to leave the corporate world behind and I started my own food business. I’d studied business and finance at Uni, coupled with my subsequent years in corporate, and when I started the business I felt quite well-equipped. In many respects I was. In other respects, I wasn’t. You learn a LOT and FAST when you start your own business, that’s for sure.
It became quite the little empire and grew quickly. What also grew quickly though was the admin! Email and social media inboxes, posting to social media, keeping my website up-to-date, along with invoicing and making sure I got paid. I found myself doing the day job, then working late into the evening and/or weekends to catch up on the admin.
I knew I needed help, however, I worried nobody else would work to my standards. On top of that, as a self-employed person the fear of ‘famine’ is real – I didn’t want that big financial commitment of taking on staff, just in case! So I continued working evenings and weekends playing catch-up, for a LONG time!
I proudly ran that business very successfully for 13 years.
Jumping forward in time, my personal life had changed and eventually, I decided to move on.
I went back to being employed for about 6 years and during most of that time I was delivering software training sessions in small groups as well as webinars with 200+ attendees. I have delivered hundreds of them, literally! They gave me a real buzz truth be told – there’s nothing quite like running a live webinar.
Self-employment was calling me though and I set-up “Angela Bishop VA” in 2021, and now work from my own fully equipped office near Cardiff, Wales. I started off helping UK small business owners and solopreneurs with their admin and social media. Further down the line, I added in webinars to my offer – so here I am, enjoying the buzz once more.
When I set-up Angela Bishop VA, I knew there’d be others out there who were in the same boat I was all those years ago, others that could benefit from my hard-earned experience. By setting up as a freelancer, I was addressing the fear of ‘famine’ experienced by small businesses too. My clients don’t employ me, they outsource to me. This means there’s no big financial commitment, HR or payroll – instead I send an invoice, they pay and I do the work. Simple.
So for those of you out there that know you need help, I want you to know, I’ve felt your struggle, I’ve been through your challenges, I know how important your business is to you – I’ve been you.
